Rescheduling or canceling your reservation
- Scenario 1 - WE need you to reschedule/cancel: We may need to reschedule or cancel your reservation due to the weather, river conditions, or for other reasons. In that situation, you can either apply the cost of your reservation to another reservation or receive a full refund.
- Scenario 2 - YOU decide to reschedule/cancel: You may contact us to reschedule or cancel your reservation even though we have not canceled our rides during your reservation time. You can reschedule/cancel by clicking the link in your confirmation email, replying to your confirmation email, or contacting us. Customers who reschedule/cancel AT LEAST 1 HOUR before their reservation begins are entitled to a full CREDIT toward another reservation or a full REFUND minus non-refundable booking and transactions fees of approximately 3-9%. Customers who do not cancel/reschedule AT LEAST 1 HOUR before their reservation begins are not entitled to a refund or credit toward another reservation.
If you arrive late or do not show up
If you do not return the equipment on time
If riders do not return to our launch area by the return time they are provided by our staff, they must call us at (614) 943-3411 so we know they are not experiencing an emergency and so we can notify other customers who may be waiting for their equipment. The purchaser of the reservation is responsible to pay $10 per kayak for each 5 minutes the equipment is late along with any related transactions fees. For example, if 4 kayaks are 10min late the fee is 4 x $10 x 2 = $80 plus transaction fees.
If you damage or do not return the equipment
If the rental equipment is damaged or not returned by the participants, the purchaser of the reservation is responsible to pay up to $2000 per kayak, $80 per life vest, $60 per paddle, $40 per neon light strand, $40 per neon light battery along with any related transaction fees.
Fee payments
SK will determine if fees are owed for the reasons stated above and notify the purchaser using the contact information (email and/or phone) they entered when booking the reservation. The purchaser of the reservation is responsible to pay all fees related to riders in their group. SK will attempt to deduct the fees from the original payment method provided by the purchaser for the reservation. If SK is not able to collect all of the fees owed using the original payment method, SK will notify the purchaser that they have a balance owed. The purchaser must then pay SK the balance owed within 5 business days.
