Directions to Point Park in Delaware, Ohio
The Columbus Recreation and Parks Department has granted us a permit to provide kayak rides at Point Park in Delaware, Ohio. The park is conveniently located near Powell (5 miles), Dublin (6 miles), Lewis Center (10 miles), Marysville (10 miles), and Northwest Columbus (12 miles).
Directions and Parking
Please do NOT search for "Sunrise Kayaking" on your driving app or you will likely go to the wrong location. For directions, enter 5300 Delaware St, Delaware, OH 43015 in your driving app. When you arrive at that address, look for a gravel road next to wood signs that say "AREA Q" and "PUBLIC ACCESS FISHING AREA." Drive down the gravel road and park in the lot near the river. If the parking lot is full, you can park outside the park on the street and walk into the park.
Does the park have bathrooms? Shelters? Tables?
In the park where these rides start and end there are no bathrooms. The closest public bathroom is at Hank's Texas BBQ which is a half mile away (3 minute drive). There are no shelters or tables in the park. There is a small grassy area near the water where you can sit (if you bring chairs) and watch people kayaking.
Advanced reservations are required
Reservations allow us to have the equipment ready for you when you arrive. Reservations also allow us to notify you if we need to cancel rides due to the weather, river conditions, etc. Book a reservation
